Claude Tag is a new Slack integration where Claude joins as a persistent team member, follows channels, builds context over time, and can be tagged in to write PRs, run analysis, or help with incidents. An ambient mode lets it take initiative without being explicitly invoked.
Claude Tag is a new Slack-native product that lets teams add Claude as a teammate with access to chosen channels and tools. The Claude Code team used it internally throughout development; it now writes 65% of the product team's code, including most of Claude Tag itself.
Claude Tag is available in beta today for Claude Enterprise and Team plan subscribers, starting with Slack integration. More platforms where you can tag Claude are coming.
During an incident, tagging Claude in the Slack thread lets it pull graphs, diff the deploy, identify the root cause, and surface the responsible author. Once the team approves in-thread, Claude opens the fix, ships it, monitors the metric recovery, and resolves the page.
The Ambassador program, which has already run 290+ meetups across 107 cities in 37 countries with 40,000+ attendees, is now open to applicants across Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
Claude Tag can sit passively in a Slack feedback channel, automatically picking up bug reports, tracing the relevant code path, reproducing the issue, running git blame, writing a fix, and tagging the responsible owner. The only human step left is approving the PR before Claude merges it.
