The product manager for Claude Tag reached out to an early adopter who had compared it favorably to ChatGPT Workspace Agents in Slack, offering to set up a feedback call.
Claude Tag users can follow a Configure link at the bottom of any thread to view available connections and channel prompting options. Repository browsing is coming soon, and admins can lock down channel prompt edits if needed.
Claude Tag doesn't require an explicit @mention to engage. Users can configure how ambient or proactive Claude is in a given channel, letting it participate without needing to be tagged each time.
A user raised the concern that tagging Claude in team Slack channels could embarrass employees if Claude makes a mistake publicly, slowing adoption. The Claude Tag PM responded that DMs are an option, but open channels are more powerful, and the internal culture is to blame systems rather than people when things go wrong.
