The Claude Code hackathon is expanding to Japan, open to any builder residing in Japan regardless of engineering background. Applications close October 26 at 23:59 JST.
A new sidebar shows which sessions are running and which need attention. Inside each session, a live to-do list tracks Claude's plan, a recap card appears when input is needed, and a side rail shows execution context, token usage, and file changes.
To get the new multi-session desktop experience, update the app and start a new session. A direct download link is included.
An Anthropic team member encourages users who rely primarily on the CLI to try the updated Claude Code desktop app, framing the recent changes as significant enough to revisit.
